Join us for an author talk, storytime, and book signing with Dr. Sandra Gonsalves-Domond, local full-time academician, educator, and author of the new books Idony, the Birthday Iguana and Ophelia, the Happy Elf Owl.

Idony, the Birthday Iguana is a celebratory book about an iguana that is having a birthday. She bypasses binaries, and makes informed choices on her birthday that are fun sage, inclusive, and fully embracing of community.

Ophelia, the Happy Elf Owl: Nightly adventures abound in Oakleighville, filling Ophelia’s well-lived life. She is an elf owl, who on her independent journey finds prey, enjoys the friendships of other nocturnal creatures, and relishes the musical melodies of a young girl, Octavia, who diligently practices the cello and digeridoo. Displaying naturalistic intelligence, Ophelia is other-world connected in her immediate environment with an assortment of other animals as well.

Copies of both books will be available for purchase at the event.
